The rooms were large and air conditioned with smoke detectors for our safety. The location was nice, close to autobahn overlooking garden.

Very friendly staff and the location was good. It was nice to have a small patio and to be able to sit outside.
Shower curtains in the bathroom are not very nice. Also there was a problem to get a drink late evening in the hotel.

The staff was affable and immensely pleasant!
Thank you very much for a perfectly pleasant experience we had at this exceptional and lovely hotel. The location was particularly good, for example, Cliffe High Street was at a medium distance from the venue. The restaurant was located within 500 metres. We truly enjoyed it and did not want to leave there

Where do you start? Great hotel, really helpful staff bend over backwards for you, good sized room, minibar included, breakfast included. A really nice touch was the tv remote placed on top of the tv guide with the page open on relevant date (even though it's all in German). The restaurant, although offering only a limited menu, was immaculate. The food was exceptional and the dessert was an art-form, it seemed a shame to eat it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I'd definitely stay again.
The only bad point is the bathroom with a shower attachment rather than a purpose built shower.

Very comfortable with large room and all (most - see below) facilities. Wondeful location within easy walking distance of a beautiful old German town. Plenty of room for parking in Hotel grounds. Good substantial breakfasts.
Internet connection a bit dodgy. Only managed to connect the plaptop for two out of the 6 days we were there, and even then it was only a weak signal. They have a way of connecting through their internal system which the laptop said was unknown and possibly unsafe to use. However even the hotel's computer person could not connect, although she said her phone connected.

The staff were very attentive and were all dressed smartly and this gave a good impression. 1st impressions are the most important ones , and in this case , there was a good first impression.
I think you need to have tea/coffee making facilities in each room , but everything else was perfect.

I really liked the cozy and traditional decor of the hotel. It reminded me of the good old days and made me feel right at home. The common areas were beautifully maintained, and it was easy for me to navigate around even as a senior. The hotel had ramps and handrails, making it accessible for people of all ages.
I would have liked to see more activities or amenities specifically designed for seniors. A small exercise area or a wellness program would have been a great addition to make our stay even more enjoyable.

Always choose this place, no regrets. Helpful staff, recommended better taxi at first stay. Suits perfectly, has Wi-Fi, bar, restaurant, sauna. Great for hiking, cycling, canoeing, golf. In-room breakfast, children's menu, cots. No pets, AC, no smoking. Coming back for Easter!

The value for money at Sonne was excellent, and the room was spacious and exactly as advertised. The location was a short walk from the charming town, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Breakfast delights, but it would be even better with slippers provided.

During my recent business trip to Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, I had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Sonne, which was chosen by my director. The hotel truly exceeded my expectations in several aspects. the sauna was a fantastic way to unwind after a long day of meetings. The well-maintained and relaxing atmosphere provided an enjoyable and rejuvenating experience. the laundry facilities were an invaluable convenience, allowing me to freshen up my clothes and travel light. Lastly, the availability of free newspapers was an added bonus, keeping me informed about current events during my stay.
The main clients of the hotel would appear to be travelling on business - and the hotel does have a feel of a business-oriented hotel.
